Regulation (EU) 2016/425

Ulster Weavers are accredited to the above regulation under certification reference 0598/PPE/23/3849 effective 19 September 2023.

All products manufactured before that date comply with the previously existing standards and will remain on sale.

All product (classed as Double Oven Gloves and Gauntlets and Pot Mitts) manufactured after October 2023 comply with the above Regulation and are appropriately labelled.  Images of retail packaging are available on request.

For Customer reference, the products carry the following user instruction:

Domestic oven gloves are designed to offer protection from unintentional contact with hot cookware and ovens. Our products are tested to EN ISO 12127-1:2015, at 250ºC/482ºF for not more than 15 seconds. Maximum of 25 washes. Having been designed as a household item to match our range of co-ordinated kitchen textiles, they are not intended for commercial use or for prolonged contact with hot items. Keep away from naked flame and heating elements. Do not use when wet. Ensure hand is fully inserted into the glove before handling hot items and remove promptly after use. Protection is limited to part of the hand only. Limited flame spread X, Contact heat 2, Radiant heat X, Convective heat X, Small splashes of molten metal X, Large quantities of molten metal X. X indicates tests which have not been conducted. The performance levels are only applicable to the whole product including all layers.
